The first Uruguayan driver to compete abroad in Formula Racing, Maite is a true trailblazer in the world of motorsport. She is breaking barriers and making history as a female driver in a sport that has traditionally been dominated by men. In addition to her racing career, Maite is a dedicated student, pursuing degrees in Chemical Engineering and Sports Marketing & Sponsorship. With her unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, she’s building a foundation that extends far beyond the racetrack. Motorsport runs deep in Maite’s blood. Coming from a family with a rich racing heritage, her father, Fernando, is a rally driver, her brother Juan Ignacio Cáceres was a test driver for F1 Minardi, and her eldest brother, Agustín, is an experienced motorsports event organizer. Despite the challenges, Maite spent 12 years fighting for her family’s approval to pursue her passion. At 17, her persistence paid off, allowing her to begin her motorsport journey and set the stage for a career that continues to inspire many.
